Sunday March 2nd

TITLE: A Faithful Departure Genesis 12:4  4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. John 16:7-8   7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.  8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Psalm 105:38-39  38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.  39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. SUBJECT: Leaving where you are to get where you need to be! Proposition: first leave, depart and then go! Depart from sin and go to salvation, depart from the world and go to the church, give before you receive, depart satan and go to Christ! Step on one foot then the other, exhale and then inhale. If your are not where God want you to be, then leave where you are and go where God wants you to go! But leave first! So many want a walk with God but don’t want to leave: Habit Friends Dreams Possessions Goals Old Job Relationship This is an often over looked principle of life and why so many haven’t grown spiritually with the Lord! Won’t leave where you are at so that Jesus can lead you to where you should be! Our text said that,… Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him: departing can be transforming. When God moves you you’re going to prosper, grow, be strengthened, become His child! Now I am not speaking about a geographical move, it could be your mind, body, or soul that He call out of one state into a place where He can bless you beast. David declared,   Psalm 23:1-3 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.  2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.  3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Jesus said forsake all that you have and come follow me! He wants to move us to change us, to bless us! Leave the mess and be blessed! 1. Abrim-became rich 2. Israel-became rich, promise land 3. Jesus-sent us the Holy Ghost, many mansions Leave this life for eternal life Leave the kingdom of the world for the Kingdom of God Leave this body for an incorruptible body Etc.
